Magic Valley Piloting charges standard mileage-plus-overnight pricing for pilot car and escort services. Day rates and flat rates are negotiable depending on route, load profile, and schedule — call (208) 924-3720 for a quote that fits the job.
Door-to-door pilot car mileage charged at .00 per mile. Includes deadhead miles unless otherwise negotiated. Same rate for lead, chase, high-pole, or route survey work.
Per overnight stay on multi-day runs. Covers lodging and downtime when a load can’t make a single-day push. Calculated per night, not per leg.
Negotiable when the run fits.
Not every run fits the standard mileage rate cleanly. Local moves, repeat runs, or jobs with unusual schedules may work better as a flat rate or a day rate. Tell me about the run and we’ll find pricing that makes sense for both of us.
Minimums may apply on very short routes; flat-rate often cleaner than mileage on these.
Regular runs with predictable routes work well on standing day rates. Discuss the cadence and we’ll structure it.
Surveys plus escort, multi-pilot configs, or runs with unusual schedule needs — quoted as a custom rate.
